Winter is too cold. Once the holidays are over it should just turn into spring and be done with it. I can't wait for the snow to melt so i can go out on long walks again. Although, I do hope we get one more decent snow because Nathan has been asking to go sledding and I'd like to take him at least once. He had so much fun doing it last year. So, this week Katey has been making a lot of progress on her standing. I think she overheard me telling Mark that I didn't think she'd be walking nearly as early as Brooke did (Brooke was 9 1/2 months old). So, she's been standing up a lot now and she even pulled herself up all alone just yesterday. She's crawling faster now too and has taken her first couple of tumbles and has the bumps and bruises to prove it. She's a trooper though and just goes right back to whatever she was doing as soon as I pick her up and tell her she is OK. Nathan brought home a paper from preschool the other day about Kindergarten registration. I can't believe how quickly he seems to be growing up. He certainly thinks he's grown up now. He won't let mom or dad walk him to primary anymore (so we just have to sneak after him and peek in to watch him go sit with his class). I've been busy reffing. It's been helping me build up my skin thickness. I did have to laugh at one game when I heard some kids in the stands yelling at calling me a sexist--I'm not quite sure how that works since, as far as I could tell, all the players were boys and they seemed to think I was being prejudices against their team (maybe there were some female players out there that I was unaware of...) All in all things are going pretty well here. Over the weekend Mark and I finally painted our bedroom. It looks really nice and I'm excited to have it finished. We also bought some pink paint for the girls' room, but it might be a while before we actually paint it since it is not the GIRLS' room yet (I don't know if Nathan would appreciate sharing a pink room with Brooke). Nathan did want to paint his room, though-but he wants it red because that is his favorite color. When we're ready to redecorate his room I'll have to talk him out of that-I think red is better as an accent color.
